Scully & Scully Brass Shell Bookend / Doorstop

One of nature’s most exquisite forms, the scallop shell is truly a study in symmetry. Cast in solid brass heavy enough to be a doorstop with a protective padded bottom, this work of art is distinguished by delicate flutes in the classic shape of a scallop, a favorite seashell among beachcombers. Entirely handmade, using the same sand casting and finishing processes as in Revolutionary times, in order to retain the authenticity and patina of the past. Sold individually.
