A commanding architectural presence in the full Rococo style, this stunning English over-mantle mirror hails from the “middle room” of the Governor’s Palace in Colonial Williamsburg, where the royal governor conducted official business in the 18th Century. This “chimney glass” was originally meant to appear as an extension of the mantelpiece itself sitting directly on the molding. Finished in hand-laid antique gold leaf. Made in America.
Measures 59 x 26½”.
